Job Purpose

Reporting to the, Manager, Sales and Event Centre Operations, CREC Sales and Events Summer Student will assist with Club Regent Event Centre Sales and Operations department to execute events taking place at CREC. Summer Students are expected to have a flexible work schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the organization and coordination of Club Regent Event Centre concert and client events between May – August.
  • Act as a representative of Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries liaising with potential clients, event managers and vendors.
  • Assist with the client inquiries and sales inquiry support.
  • Assist in the preparation of event signage and communication materials.
  • Assist in the tracking and maintenance of inventory, signage and asset equipment.
  • Participate in client meetings as required
  • Conduct market survey of like venues
  • Assist with administrative support as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Primary Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year completed education in a Post-Secondary Institution in Marketing, Business administration, Commerce, Event Management, Sales, Rec management
  • Must maintain a valid class 5 driver’s license. 
  • Position is customer facing, representing Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries and Club Regent Event Centre. 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • Ideal candidate enjoys engaging with people have strong communication and interpersonal skills, is professional and presentable.

Vacation
