Job Purpose

Reporting to the Program Marketing Manager, Corporate,  the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting a variety of day-to-day activities of the marketing department that lead to successful completion of strategic marketing initiatives. The incumbent will work directly with members of the marketing team, internal stakeholders and external business partners and suppliers to make decisions regarding the coordination of approved marketing programs and initiatives.  The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the development, procurement and approval processes for advertising programs in relevant media as requested. The position is also responsible for providing support and administration for the loyalty programs. This position maintains a database of advertising campaigns and is a key contact to advance, review/proof, schedule, and purchase advertising.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the development, coordination and implementation of marketing programs and initiatives.
  • Serve as MBLL’s primary contact person on advertising reviews and buys with Communication and Engagement, agencies of record and other business partners.
  • Coordinate professional responses back to advertisers in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal/external design and production personnel during various stages of development. Closely monitor stages of project development to ensure established deadlines are met. Identify potential barriers/concerns along the way and escalate to the appropriate Marketing Manager(s) and/or Director, Marketing as required.
  • Complete advertising assessments on all new advertising creative and manage approvals of same.
  • Proof marketing materials for accuracy and compliance to MBLL brand guidelines/standards prior to elevating to Marketing Management for approval.
  • Coordinate ad/marketing material approvals and traffic to internal/external stakeholders accordingly.
  • Obtain artist/logo/product approvals in support of marketing campaigns where required.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of photo/video shoots where required.
  • Monitor industry related news/marketing activity and provide a monthly report on findings to the Director, Marketing.
  • Develop related promotional rules & regulations/terms & conditions; manage approvals of same to ensure integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate and support the execution of marketing related events as required.
  • Maintain a comprehensive, organized electronic database of all final marketing/advertising related materials.
  • Maintain a complete, annual master media schedule and expense report by business line.
  • Regularly review all MBLL advertising in the marketplace to ensure accuracy and relevancy according to media plans.
  • Coordinate archiving of department files as per established schedule.
  • Responsible for setting up all loyalty program offers and managing budgets and billing as required.
  • Keep Marketing Management up-to-date on status of current assignments and pertinent issues; seek guidance where required to ensure alignment.
  • Work collaboratively with internal/external contacts to support marketing requirements.
  • Participate in departmental meetings where required.
  • Present findings on competitive market scans and trends to Marketing Management.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Primary Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in marketing or combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in marketing with emphasis on advertising.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Related industry experience considered an asset.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Have and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 drivers’ license is considered an asset.
  • Training and professional development may be required.
  • Experience within a gaming or liquor industry an asset.

Vacation
