Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager, Social Responsibility, the summer student will support the Social Responsibility team by applying organizational, communications, and analytical skills to support ongoing projects. This will include analyzing and organizing information related to the corporation’s annual Environmental, Social, and Governance Progress Report. Development of data collection templates and information summaries will also lend support to Social Responsibility funding, consumer information and research activities. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Collecting, compiling, comparing, and organizing data. 
  • Reviewing and analyzing Global Reporting Index (GRI) standards.
  • Developing and supporting surveys and data collection spreadsheets.
  • Synthesizing information from a wide range of sources, including documents, meeting notes, emails, websites, conversations, etc., into readable and professional summaries and reports.
  • Compiling media files for transfer to internal partners.
  • Planning and participating in online and in-person meetings.
  • Uphold and promote social responsibility values within the Corporation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Primary Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years completed post-secondary education with a focus on Business, Project Management, Social Science and Humanities, Journalism/Communications, Community Development, or related discipline.
  • Strong ability to document and critically analyze information, organizational skills, and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills is essential.
  • Intermediate level or greater proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a remote work environment. 
  • French language skills are an asset.

Vacation

  • Accrue up to 10 paid vacation days per year during the first 2 years of employment.
