Cambrian College’s School of Health Sciences, Nursing, and Emergency Services requires a temporary part-time Technologist within the Primary Care Paramedic program beginning Fall 2023. Schedule flexibility is a requirement for this position with hours on Monday and Tuesday.

• Provide assistance to students within practical demonstrations.
• Assist in enhancing students’ hands-on skills and techniques, providing observation and guidance to ensure students have mastered identified skills.
• Assist with evaluation of student skills and procedure performance. 
• Collaborate with faculty to plan and assist in demonstrating skills and procedures that support student learning of entry to practice competencies.

Required: 

• Postsecondary diploma or degree in Paramedic. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application).
• Three years of work experience in the field.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High degree of initiative, work-related flexibility, and creative problem-solving skills.
• The ability to advise and positively interact with students is important, as is the ability to work within a team environment.
• Strong computer literacy and effective critical thinking and organizational skills.  

• Experience working within a postsecondary environment.
• Previous teaching and/or facilitation experience at the postsecondary level.
